By the year 2030, the world's energy demand will be forty percent higher than it was in 2006. Tagruato is preparing to meet these needs with the establishment of the Future Energy Development Committee. The committee will be tasked with expanding refinery capacity, strengthening energy security by increasing and diversifying supplies, and enabling access to unexplored oil.

"The world will need more and more energy," said new committee chair Rafu Funaki. "We want to be the company they buy it from."

A secondary objective will be to invest in new technologies that reduce the environmental impact of the company's expenditures. Desire is strong to leave smaller footprints by reducing energy use and emissions at Tagruato facilities. This objective, however, will not interfere with the profit potential to investors.

"The health of the planet is our main priority," said Funaki. "But the money in our investor's pockets is our main priority also."
